Pre-Halloween Fun

We really love this time of year. It is full of so many fun things to do. Here are some pictures of a few places we have been.
We went to the Scarecrow Festival at Thanks Giving Point. Here is Abby jumping on the tramp.
She really got air. I was impress for it being her first time.
Here is Jared getting hooked up. He keep telling them not to let him go high. He stuck to his guns the whole time.
He really didn't go much higher than this. All in little baby steps.
Abby with her face painted.
All the girls that got their faces painted.
Every year Mark's work does a trunk-or-treat. The kids love it. This year Abby invited her friend.
Here is try number 2 at the picture. The girls wouldn't hold still.
Curtis getting all dressed up. He did okay. He didn't even cry when we stuffed him in his costume.
Just along for the ride. By the way, he is a purple dragon, not a dinosaur.
Me and my little baby, okay, he is really huge. He is so much fun. Always happy and will do anything for a laugh.

First Birthday

Curtis turned 1 last weekend. It was such a fun day. He is getting so big. Here are some pictures of the big day. This is just a cute picture of my baby.
"What in the world do you want me to do with this thing."
"Oh there is something inside. This is kind of cool."
"Okay it was fun after one, but now I just want to play."

"Grandma, I have no clue what you want me to do with this."

"MmmmM This tastes good. Maybe this birthday thing will be okay. "

"I know this picture will come back later in life. My sister always has to dress me up."

Curtis and his cousin Lauren. She is 3 months younger than him.

It has been a great year. Curtis has added so much joy to our family.

Fun Pictures of the Summer

It was a crazy summer, but we did have some fun. Here are some random pictures of some fun things of the summer.
Mark's grandpa died last September. He was a WWII vet. We went to his grave on Memorial Day and they had a wonderful presentation. The main attraction of the day was the helicopter. The kids loved it.
Curtis decided he wanted to try ice cream. We never got it back from him. If we tried to take it he screamed.
Jared giving Millie a ride on his bike.
Jared and Millie sharing lunch. They had so much fun together, but Millie says Abby is her best friend.
Mark's work had a party. Yes, Jared crawled up behind the back to put the ball in the net. He was wondering why no one else played it this way. What a smart boy.

Curtis with my cousin Danell's little girl. They are about a month apart. She has the cutest chubby cheeks.
Jared and Colin playing baseball with Mark's grandma. She is over ninety. Yes, it is good to stay young.

We went to a production of Beauty and the Beast. It was wonderful. I was very impressed. They best part was that Mark works with Belle. Abby was so surprised when Belle knew her name. Belle is Abby's favorite princess. She was star struck in this picture.
Abby with the prince.
Jared asked all day to go into Curtis' Johnny Jump Up. I keep telling him he was too big. I came upstairs to switch laundry and this is what I found.
Jared is way excited for Halloween. He had to try on a mask.

First Day of School

Okay, I know this is way past due, but here is Abby's first day of school. Wow, it seems like just the other day she was a baby.

Abby ready for anything. Sorry about hotel background. Yes, we were in the hotel on her first day of school.
Maybe she is a little nervous.

Jared wants to be part of the excitement.

Abby at school. She is really excited now.

Island Park

My dad really wanted to do a family vacation this year. Janelle and I planned one. It was great. We went to Island Park. The cabin we stayed in was perfect. Here are some pictures of the fun.

We spent a lot of time on my dad's boat. Curtis and Millie were bonding. My dad loved it.
We got Trisha on the water weenie. She had more fun than any of the kids. She had never done anything like it before. It was so funny to watch her.
Jared, Mark and Jon (Sarah's husband)
Mark and Jared getting ready for their ride.
Abby and I on our ride. We didn't get a picture of me and Jared because he flipped us. He started rocking while we were taking a turn. It was really cold.
Mark up on the wake board. He hadn't been for years, but he still has it. Abby freaked every time he fell.
My mom and the boys.
Trisha right before we sent her out.
Abby loving every second with her grandparents. She really misses them now that we are back in Utah.
Jared loved the boat. He could have spent the whole trip on it.
Jared way excited to try fishing. He didn't like it as much as the boat.
Jared and my dad where we fished. They were throwing rocks in to scare the fish away.
Now Abby had to join them. Yes, Jared doesn't have pants on. Don't all men fish in their under ware?
Jared decided to hang out in the grass.

Park City Vacation

We decided that we need a vacation this year. Since every last dollar that we earned was going to buying our house we had to go cheep. We went to hear a time share presentation just to get a free vacation. I am embarrassed to say this, but we had a great time.
The place was great. It had a kitchen which we saved lots of money on food.
Abby spent most of her time swimming in the bath tub. It had jets and she loved to add bubbles.
The best part was that it had space for everyone. We all got the sleep we needed.
Yes, Curtis is in the bathroom, but we slept at night.
The first night we rode a gondola up to Deer Valley for a free concert. Jared was a little scared.
Abby loved every second of the ride.
Mark and Curtis on the ride. It was a little cold that night.
Abby and Jared dancing at the concert.
Mark and Abby dancing.
Now just Abby. This girl has rhythm. It was a Jazz concert and she was right on. The people behind us keep commenting on what a great dancer she was. She has this little hip thing that is very unique. I do not take any credit for this. Her babysitter was on the high school dance team.
The next day we went down the alpine slide. Here is Mark and Jared getting off. Jared wanted to fly down.
Abby and I going up the chair lift. She was a little scared at first.

Abby and I coming down. She could have gone down a million times. However we had to slow down at every turn because the sign said so. Needless to say it was a slow trip.

We had the best time. Listening to a time share presentation wasn't that bad. The trip was worth the time we spent at the presentation.
